It’s sometimes said that modular synthesizers can only do “beeps and bloops” or “weird self-playing patches that only pretentious chin-scratchers find interesting”. (Ouch, I feel called out, I do scratch my chin while listening…)
Obviously that’s wrong, as modular synths can do anything “regular” synths can do, and more. But sometimes it’s nice to really lean into beeps and bloops and get weird.
Here’s Septembeat No. 3, made in Drambo. They say you can never have too many VCA’s, I say you can never have too many LFO’s. I used 15 in this patch, plus 2 VCA’s, 2 VCO’s, and some other stuff. Enjoy!
